Raised on the islands of Kaua‘i and O‘ahu, Tara Manaea del Fierro is a Native Hawaiian scholar who recently received her B.A. in Anthropology from the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa. During her undergraduate studies, Tara’s interest in Hawaiian archaeology was cultivated by attending archaeological field schools and internships, including the North Shore Archaeological Field School, the Hawai‘i Historical and Archaeological Research Project, the Kaua‘i Archaeological Field School, and the Keala Pono internship program. She is currently conducting an ethno-historical research project focusing on the Windward Kohala coast of Hawai‘i Island.
